Active ingredient containing pleuran (beta-(1,3/1,6)-D-glucan isolated from the Pleurotus ostreatus). It is free from fat and protein structures, which normally cover the beta-glucans and inhibit their bioavailability.

Pleuran improves without over stimulating, the non-specific immune system, which is the first line of body defense that helps fight external pathogens. Pleuran does so by activating macrophages, which are then put on high alert, increasing the defensive action through phagocytosis.
